Police Station Attendance

Denovo Law provides a 24 hours a day, 365 days a year service and we have a team of experienced lawyers and representatives who are always on hand to ensure that when your clients are arrested we can attend the police station and provide comprehensive legal advice. We have extensive experience of advising suspects accused of all manner of offences, ranging from murder, manslaughter, rape to theft and road traffic matters. Prison Attendances

Denovo Law in addition to Police Station Attendances also provides an unparalleled service in providing legal advice to your clients who are currently serving a custodial sentence or on remand at the various prisons within the North East Area. It is becoming more and more prevalent in that the police are now attending prisons to interview clients instead of producing them at the police stations. Denovo Law will attend the Prison and represent your client. We will attend prisons throughout the North East area which have included the following: HMP Acklington, HMYOI Castington, HMP Deerbolt, HMYOI Durham, HMP Frankland, HMP Holme House, HMYOI Kirklevington Grange, HMYOI Low Newton, HMP Northallerton

Advocacy

The Criminal Department of Denovo Law has recently expanded and we now have four solicitors, all Duty Solicitors, who have between them some 45 years post-qualification experience. That experience encompasses both criminal proceedings in the Magistrates and Crown Courts and family proceedings in the Magistrates Court. In addition, some of our advocates have experience in Liquor and Gaming Licensing and Hackney Carriage and Private Hire licensing in Committee and subsequent appeals to the Magistrates and Crown Courts. One of our solicitors (a former Barrister) has Higher Rights of Audience in Criminal proceedings and would be willing to assist any firm of solicitors considering undertaking their Crown Court advocacy in-house.

Clerking

Denovo Law provides experienced staff to clerk to counsel at crown court hearings. Our staff will provide daily reports encompassing the notes of the hearing in question.

Process Serving

Denovo Law provide a comprehensive Process Serving Service to the Legal Profession, covering the whole of the United Kingdom. We are very experienced and we also provide a full subject report for each service completed together with a Statement of Service/Affidavit of Service. We will serve the following Documents:- Non Molestation Orders Children Act Orders including Prohibited Steps Orders Witness Summons Bankruptcy Petitions Divorce Petitions Statutory Demands Injunctions We can collect the documents from either your office or from the Court concerned with the order. We will attempt to serve the documents the same day and will keep you up to date with regard to any problems that may arise and you or your office will be informed immediately once the service has been effected. We operate a cost effective and efficient service for which references can be provided.
